Berliner Wildtier Fibel (Diploma project)
year of making
More and more wild animals migrate to cities. Berlin has thereby become the European leader of this enormous diversity. If you think of the german capital a great number of things will come into mind, but only a few will guess that this city is home of beavers, foxes, raccoons and other creatures. What have raccoons in Germany to do with american soldiers? Who was the first prominent beaver protector of Prussia? Where built city foxes their burrow? How much dove droppings rain daily from the sky? And why produce Berlin bees more honey than their relatives in the countryside? These and other questions will be answered in this book on a search of traces of wild animals. The project is to be understood as a popular scientific conglomerate, that implement the data and information to the best of one’s knowledge and belief in a illustrative metaphorical language. The book is made up of a cloth binding and digital printed, inclusive the typography in two colours in a simulated duplex-print method of an offset print.
