»en garde« is a plead for more protest and resistance as a form of political contest. In my master thesis I want to introduce organizations and people who show us that alternative drafts to the prevailing social circumstances are indeed possible.
For this purpose, I created the platform »en garde«: A calling, an initiative, a remedy in the shape of a magazine and a website. My work constitutes a homage to the different-minded and non-conformists, to all those who live their ideals and convictions with true dedication. There are so many people that actively fight for their dreams and defend them with all their might and I want to call attention to those that act from the background, apart from the rioting masses.
The path of well-measured resistance is often slender as it means being loud without shouting, making way without destroying and being free without confining others.
