20plusX was the first typography symposium to be organized by the students of the design faculty of the University of Applied Sciences Munich.
It took place April 14th -16th, 2011 and was comprised not only of
lectures, but workshops and an exhibition of student projects as well.
Speeches were held by Ruedi Baur, Binnenland, Bernd Kuchenbeiser, Pixelgarten, Raffinerie, Bernard Stein, Strukt, Tomato, Niklaus Troxler, Typeradio, Andreas Uebele and Yanone.
The corporate design developed for the event was intended to reflect the meaning of the symposium's name; "20," referring to every person and institution that was involved in the making of the symposium, "plus" every element "X" that contributed to its success: the location, the party and of course every speaker and visitor.
Flyers, stickers, posters, booklets, t-shirts, tote bags, lighters and interior decoration were designed incorporating the 20plusX style.
20plusX was a big success and will be returning in 2013.
