“Minipli Mimikry A bis Z” is an alphabet storybook.
Taking the theme “restart” as a topic, we transformed one type of a book into another:
an encyclopaedia was reborn as a book of short stories.
In their alphabetical order, the terms from a reference book for children became the structure for our fabulous texts. By means of connecting the words intuitively we have built bizarre new stories. A list of the words utilized runs through the book and gives an idea of the former encyclopaedia.
Just as the stories challenge the imagination of the reader, the collages expose peculiar worlds. The collages, as a stylistic device, unite elements in the text and suggest an association with the stories.
In the same way, the encyclopaedia is disguised as a book of short stories: the book, with its minimalistic outward appearance, pretends to be something else.
