The enchanted forest is located at a neglected area of the city in order to reactivate the location by applying the process of pixelization onto the existing image of the site.
We define pixelization as a process of dividing the site into equal square-shaped gardens – pixels, and assigning each pixel a type of vegetation to be grown on it. Pavilions with different cultural and artistic functions are then being spread over the site, each pavilion being assigned to a specific pixel. It is available for anyone to rent a pixel and to create their own garden, according to the rules of pixelization.
A pixel is considered a medium for constructive and creative interaction between people and nature. We want to provoke people to express their differences, and to use these as the main element of a space as a structure. We only infected a small area of the city. We expect it to spread rapidly.
