The Coat Rack takes online information to an offline situation by creating a product that is connected to the Internet to make a suggestion of what jacket to wear. The Barometer takes this information and displays it in an analogue way creating a digital barometer without the stereotypical digital display.
Everybody talks about the weather and it has a huge impact on everyday life. This is for people who do not wish to have a traditionally styled barometer and would rather an industrial styled focal point than a traditional piece of equipment that has been passed down through the generations.
This playful product has been created through looking at digital reach and the different ways people perceive, relate to and use technology. The inspiration for this product arrived after using an old radio at a grand parents house, which still had an analogue radio tuner with its now seemingly dated input and output interface.
