ENTSCHUBLADUNG (*OUTBOXING = thinking out of the box) is a Web based project which communicates the subject of gender equality in a playful way. The campaign consists of a short Animation Trailer which is spread over YouTube and Vimeo. In this trailer the character Alex is introduced. Alex is a modular being so it can change its private parts and therefore its gender. On www.entschubladen.de the user can compose his own Alex character and while doing so, get informed about gender equality. Using game mechanics the ENTSCHUBLADUNG wants to reopen the discussion and spread the idea of a new diversity particularly involving the younger generation. But the user also gets questioned… Are we as open minded as we think we are?
The ENTSCHUBLADUNG is our thesis in Communication Design was launched on November 2011. Supported by the MASF Brandenburg.
