How is the rank of a project determined on the open :output platform?

The ranking system allows the open :output platform visitors to find the highlights and the most innovative works as easily as possible. The individual rank of a project is based on a credit system:

a vote from a member of open :output = 1 credit*
a work added to a favourite list by a member of open :output = 5 credits*
a work selected for a curated show on open :output = 20 credits
a work selected for the :output award = 25 credits
awarding of the :output Grand Prix at the open :output award = 50 credits

* You have to be a registered member of the open :output community in order to vote or to create a favourites list. You can only vote once for each work. If you add one work repeatedly to your favourites list, the credits are not accumulated.

Why can I not vote for a project?

You have to be a registered user and to be logged in to be able to vote for projects. You can only vote once for any one project.

Why can I not make a favourites list with projects I like?
