as a semester-project we designed a small book for the publisher »birkhäuser«.
we developed a useful object for aspiring authors, containing a 32-page image part and 64 blank pages for thoughts, ideas, scribbles and concepts. challenging questions about book-design appear at the bottom of those pages to help the author develop a decent exposée.
triangle shaped die-cuts throughout the whole book reveal new perspectives and show various layers.
the high-class production of this object (die-cut, embossing, different sorts of paper) represents the publisher's standard.
