This book is about the people living in the Usbek capital Taschkent. In the middle of nowhere Taschkent consists of many different types of pre-fabricated blocks of flats. The whole city looks like an archetypical exhibition of pre-fabricated buildings.
Taschkent is an experimental laboratory for pre-fabricated blocks of flats.
In this illustrated book I focused on the different people living inside these blocks. The look and the structure of the city is told by the way the peolple think, move and feel, what clothes they where and how they love. Students are living next to alcoholics, young boys next to old widows, workers next to unemployed, dropouts next to migrants.
Taschkent is a no man's land for the socialistic Utopia.
