Singaporeans are not aware of the growing trend in their midst. There are no courses majoring in astronomy, only astronomy clubs in Junior Colleges, NYP and NUS. But all these could only provide limited knowledge and resources to the upcoming Space Travel industry. They are not prepared.
Thus, I propose to have an Information Centre for Astronomy in the Omni-theatre of Science Centre to cultivate interest in learning Astronomy, eventually getting trained in that area so as to prepare Singaporeans for the upcoming Space Travel economy.
The Information Centre would provide an interactive and fun environment to learn about Astronomy. It would not be just another lesson in the classroom. In this environment, INTEREST to learn would be best cultivated.
