This work uses water as a medium to convert sound waves to visual images. The technical installation set up for this purpose serves as an image motif for a poster design which depicts the transformation of sound signals to images. By showing an overall view of the chain of technical instruments necessary for conversion (amplifier/sound source, water surface/signal converter, projectors/video display), the design stresses the installation's processual character and represents the contemplative yet hands-on approach to visualization.
