What is ballet? This book aims to answer this question using a range of perspectives.
My goal is to open the eyes of the reader about a profession that is often misconceived.
This book is a unique guide that gives insight into the
secret world of ballet. It offers an understanding of
the trials and tribulations often hidden from the public.
The reader is taken trough the different stages of a dancers career and grows with it. Important ballet terminology is explained in each chapter.
The book is written in German and French, highlighting French as the ballet language.
From the first ballet class to the last curtain fall, the average career of a ballet dancer lasts 25 years.
This is reflected in the title of the book: 9125 days.
A life in ballet has different stages so the book is divided in three categories indicated by colours.
