As Us-bank Lehman Brothers crashed in 2008 introducing a worldwide financial crisis, there was as little left over from the unshakeable belief in financial markets as from the bank itself. In this regard, one cannot deny the tragic-comic dimension of their commercial slogan: »Where vision gets built.«
The book project of the same name includes more than 240 questions, aphorisms and advices. Finally, an attached index unfolds their origin: They are all commercial slogans of banks and further financial companies. Interactions between the de-contextualized messages are created through narrative page sequences, structuring chapters and the index,
altogether revealing diverse readings of the book.
»Where Vision Gets Built« regards itself as both ambivalent collection of wisdom and rhetoric inventory of the financial crisis.
