Have you ever thought what spoons, forks, mugs and the rest of kitchen tools are doing after restaurant closes? Curious I sneaked into one cozy restaurant-The Place-close to my university in Seoul and found very active spoons, forks and mugs. Shy at the beginning, later they openly admitted that most of the nights they try to imitate objects of their ultimate admiration: humans. During days they hear human stories, meet people of various walks of life and later at night share what they’ve heard. Asked what are the top 3 things characterizing humans, they easily came up with answers: LOVE, FRIENDSHIP and some ARGUMENTS. Upon hearing all this I asked them to show me how they interpret love, friendship and arguments…and the only thing I needed to do was pressing camera’s shutter button and capturing tableware playing humans.
Ad campaign (idea + photo + copy) was produced as part of Master degree in graphic design program at EWHA Womans university, Seoul.
