“Design + Music + Improvisation = 633” is a soundesign project. Its creation was based in three axes: Design as a concept of Project, of Development. Music as the Language. and Improvisation as the Strategy.
So, it’s an attempt to connect these three axes in one single project, by researching through the characteristics of Jazz Improvisation (specially the Improvisation found in John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme” album), new media of Generative Music Algorithms and Post-Industrial Design concepts, resulting in an EP with five songs created in order to play and explore these possibilities.
The concept of soundesign nowadays may be a raw concept, and my purpose is to show other ways of creation in design and sound design by incorporating non-design references like Jazz, Electronic Music and Generative Music.
The site features all the Graphics created to follow the music itself, and also download links to the EP, everything under a Creative Commons License.
