Research conducted found that people who can inhibit their true feelings have a greater chance in succeeding in their profession, as they possess a high degree of social etiquette. Even experienced businessmen may find it increasingly difficult to act appropriately if they are stressed and feeling the pressure to perform.
After recent circumstances such as the suicide scandal at France Telecom where twenty-three employes have killed them- selves since the beginning of 2008 due to »(...) a never ending drive for efficiency which is causing emotional havoc in the workforce (...)« it became clear that we need an early visual warning system to detect stress.
The Amæ Engine measures your personal arousal through a galvanic skin response sensor and visualises the outcome through different intensities and colours of smoke. The wearable device is attached to your bag which makes the smoke recognisable from a distance and makes the arousal publicly visible at a large scale.
