It is a project about MONSTERS.
It consists of four parts: a Thesis, a Magazine, 3 Posters, 1 Object
In my thesis I did research about their existence. Next to shocking facts, I also found out there are a lot of scientists in this world that do a lot of research on trying to proof their existence scientificaly. This part of Science is called 'cryptozoology'.
Intrigued by this I wanted to create my own Monsters through collages. I putted them in my monthly cryptozoologic MONSTERIOUS Magazine, together with articles about these newly found monsters. For the magazine I created two Monsterious Fonts. One based on Arms, the other on the psychological theory of Rorschach.
To get these monsters alive I turned some of my collages into huge posters. Not boring 2D-posters but 3D so they almost start running out of the paper.
The next spatial growing step was to create one of the monsters in a real sculpture / an object. This became a hairy chair...
