The collective housing area of "Munja" is a space in the eastern part of Zagreb, lacking of public and private green spaces, parks and recreational zones. The landscape design of the area has to form a network of green spaces,making the settlement passable and usable not only by the residents but,by the other people living in areas nearby.
The design of Red Tube divides the area into 3 horizontal zones connected with bridges and pockets,creating a single structure, that divides the settlement into public and private green spaces.
As an interpretation of the area's settlement,and as a memory of what used to be the main drainage channel, a multifunctional element is used for the formation of the pockets,bridges and zones. It's primary dimension is the one of a sitting bench,and it passes through the whole area. By rising, lowering and transforming itself into urban and playground equipment, forming openings and closures,as well as walking paths it runs like a flowing channel.
