Kontrapunkt is a performance environment for argentine tango, which translates the dance into a light expression. The installation aims to spotlight interpretation and expressiveness skills of performers.
The motion of the dancers is tracked and analyzed for the various aspects of tango such as body shape, motion moment, spatial motion and accents. The tracked data can be visualized as spatial light projections or information graphics for detailed analysis.
